A Lifetime of Experience
Weinstein & Weinstein was founded in 1929 by Irving Topf, a great uncle of the partners. The firm started off small and found its niche by helping small businesses in the wholesale produce industries of Manhattan and Brooklyn. The firm soon expanded and welcomed new partners, including Philip Weinstein, the father of the partners. Weinstein & Weinstein then began to provide services to the allied food industries, restaurants, bar & grills, grocery stores and, of course, individual tax returns.
In 1986, the firm moved from New York City to Teaneck, New Jersey, and soon welcomed Steven Weinstein and Debra Gomberg as its newest partners. We quickly expanded our family dynamic by including Anita Weinstein and Linda Weinstein as its office administrators, the mother of the partners, and Steven’s wife, respectively. In the 2021-2022 tax year, Weinstein & Weinstein opened its first satellite office in Westchester, New York, and welcomed its newest addition to the staff, Steven’s son, Zach Weinstein, as head of marketing and business development.
Utilizing the experiences and foundation set forth by those who came before them, Steven and Debra continue to service a wide range of industries, giving their clients a true partner assisting them every step of the way. As you can see, here at Weinstein & Weinstein we’re not just an accounting firm, we’re a family affair.
About the Partners
Steven Weinstein, PArtner & CPA
Steven Weinstein is partner and a CPA at Weinstein & Weinstein PC. He received his Bachelors Degree from George Washington University and his Masters Degree in Taxes from Pace College. Steven has represented small firm CPAs on the New Jersey Board of Accountancy and held a seat on the Bergen County Small Business Development Center Advisory Board. He has served as the Mayor of Fair Lawn, New Jersey, and chaired numerous board seats during his tenure. He formed the Fair Lawn Economic Development Corporation, the Broadway Improvement District and American Disabilities Act Committee.
Debra Gomberg, Partner
Debra Gomberg is a partner in the accounting firm of Weinstein & Weinstein, PC of Teaneck, New Jersey. She received her Bachelors Degree from American University in Washington D.C. Working behind the scenes, Debra oversees all booking keeping and accounting responsibilities of the firm. She also works on corporate & personal tax returns as well as audits.
